In this RosicrucianTV teleconference, Nana Ama Korankye presents Rosicrucian principles for dealing with difficult and challenging situations. She opens with a guided meditation using brilliant white light moved through the body and expanded to the planet, then outlines tools including silence, contemplation, reflection, vowel sounds, the overall exercise and meditation. Drawing on a Tibetan proverb about still water and Psalm 46:10 ("be still and know that I am God"), she explains how stillness improves clarity. She discusses the mind's tendency to make inaccurate conclusions, quoting Dr. Lonnie Edwards on being a watcher of the mind, giving others the benefit of the doubt and guarding thoughts. She covers the body as a temple and food quality, emotions as the body's reaction to the mind, reading one's own energies, and daily practice. She shares a personal nursing story in which silently asking the God of her Heart to send cosmic light and love calmed an angry patient.

Key points

  1. Stillness and silence increase clarity, like still water in a pond; agitation clouds perception.
  2. Psalm 46:10, 'be still and know that I am God,' is broken down to emphasize stillness.
  3. The mind often makes inaccurate conclusions, such as assuming someone is ignoring a message.
  4. Dr. Lonnie Edwards advised being a watcher of the mind and nullifying negative thoughts with positive ones.
  5. The body is treated as a temple; food, drink, sunlight, air and exercise affect how we handle challenges.
  6. Emotions are the body's reaction to the mind, so guarding thoughts matters; avoid deciding from agitation.
  7. Reading your own energies after negative or positive actions gives information for inner work.
  8. A daily practice and a personal relationship with the God of the Heart prepare you for crises.

greetings everyone and welcome to a teleconference today my name is Nana karanche and the title of our presentation today is Rosy Christian principles for dealing with difficult and challenging situations I will share my screen right now and we will explore some ideas together so before we get started I would like to guide us through a brief meditative process so if everybody could kindly please sit in a position that's most comfortable for you place your hands in your palms facing downwards close your eyes take a deep breath slowly in exhale and while exhaling feel every cell in your body becoming relaxed and at ease take a second deep breath slowly in

  7. 6:08

creatures including all of the humanity being affected by this beautiful radiant white light see it glowing brightly let us maintain this mental picture for a few moments now take a deep breath slowly in and as you exhale slowly open your eyes and return back to where you are all right so some of the um tools that we will be exploring today

  8. 7:06

include silence contemplation reflection vowel sounds overall exercise and meditation foreign when we dwell in silence and Stillness our Clarity and perception in any situation is increased a few years ago I came across a Tibetan proverb I don't recall where I came across it but the proof of webs went something like this that when water a pond or a lake is still you can clearly see everything underneath the pond or the lake when the same body of water becomes turbulent for any reason then it is no longer clear for you to see what's beneath the surface of the water the same is kind of true with our minds whenever we are in any state of um

  9. 8:03

and negative mental emotional state ranging anywhere from mild anxiety to rage any octave on which you are on a negative emotional mental agitation within the body creates some vibratory turbulence in the mental Escape which makes it difficult for us to perceive um clearly what is happening in a situation clearly when things are going well we all generally do well handling what may be happening around us but during challenging and difficult times it's more difficult so in a situation when things come up when it's very difficult I have found that just remaining still even when the situation is chaotic or agitating or frustrating remaining still and Silent sometimes can help you clearly see what is happening here and be able to remove yourself and then clearly perceive what action or

  10. 9:02

Intuition or is it what you could do to help the situation to be better or yourself to be better to that point um a few years ago I visited a church um a First Congregational Church and the minister shared this quote from the Christian scriptures and it had a very profound impact on my understanding of Stillness and being and I would like to share that to reiterate the importance of Stillness and everybody can further reflect on this because it's it was quite it's pretty profound so with contemplation one can take a lot more away from it so it is it is important from time to time to practice silence and Stillness and the scriptures he quoted was from the Psalm 46 verse 10. and it reads be still and know that I am God

  11. 10:01

in the rosary Christian tradition when we refer to God we refer to God as the Divine or the cosmic and then he went on to say be still and know that I am be still and no be still be this was so profound for me because although I had often had um the scripture verse I never seen it break down like this and it reiterate the significance of being still and that's also the essence of meditation and some of the rescription principles that we are taught in the monographs to bring in the whole body mind and the mechanism the human mechanism to a certain state of

  12. 11:00

Stillness so we can experience something much more profound so uh we will see um how um the mind the body and emotions and our energies are impacted during difficult and challenging situations so one um aspect that I have come to land is to become aware of the mind making inaccurate conclusions for example you sent a text message uh to somebody or you send an email to somebody and you don't get a response back or you don't get a text response back in the time that you expect to receive a response back this is just an example it could be any different situation and the mind test wants to make a conclusion that why are they not replying to my message are they upset why are they ignoring me

  13. 11:58

any number of conclusions the Mind tends to make it is kind of important to become aware of this and not to make a conclusion because we never know what is the state or the reason why uh the person is not responding so it's best to just leave it and give it the benefit of the doubt without making any conclusions because whatever conclusions they might make without knowing the circumstance may be inaccurate and if you make an inaccurate conclusion for example or if it's especially if it's a sensitive situation where you're trying to resolve something for work or it's urgent and it needs a timely response then mind can tend to come up with all sort of ideas and then you send a repeat say text message or email and still don't get a response back then at least for me in my earlier years the tendency was coming up with conclusions like why are they ignoring me did I do something wrong you know I

  14. 12:58

go down this whole Rabbit Hole of causing all kinds of wrong conclusions in my mind and then once you settle or allow this to happen then you have an emotional response to these thought ideas that generates some kind of distress anxiety which are not positive for dealing with the situation so becoming aware of the mind making inaccurate conclusions is one point uh Dr Lonnie Edward often talked about this in a lot of his presentations and he will often say be a watcher of the mind and always give the situation and people the benefit of the doubt because we never know why we have not heard from them just using this example of messaging via text or email and then to that point to Endeavor to give others institutions the benefit of the doubt and to try not to judge a situation or the person but just to look at the situation just as it is

  15. 13:57

um so that if one morning you greeted somebody and they didn't respond back to you uh you don't conclude that they have something against you or don't judge the situation like oh this person is being such and such you know that's a judgment conclusion we don't know what kind of a circumstance they are coming to work from let's say they had a very rough morning they've lost a love for one in their life they've been receiving negative diagnosis or a horrible diagnosis we don't know the circumstance so it's often best uh not to make Judgment of the person or the situation can be extremely helpful Dr Lonnie Edwards and I will and I will share a picture of Dr Lonnie Edwards for those who are not familiar or don't know who he is he's a long time member of the order but before that I'll go through this slide and I'll share an image of him and explain but I will be quoting him a bit so just for so you can put in context who I'm talking about

  16. 14:56

he often said be the guardian of your thoughts so um he often said when a negative thoughts come into your mind or your awareness always nullify it with a positive one don't allow that negative thoughts just go unaddressed because um our thoughts also stimulate certain chemical responses in our body if you entertain a certain negative thought on healthy thought it can cause sometimes upset in you that upset causes chemical um influx or changes within the body mechanism that can change your vibratory energy to what you do not want it to be so what I have personally found extremely helpful is taking your attention periodically from the outside world to the inner world like meditation and visualization helps to still in quiet the Mind during difficult situation if you find yourself in a distressful situation or you feel anxiety coming up for whatever reason or

  17. 15:56

you're in a situation you feel very challenged just sometimes you may not be able to even close your eyes but just um using the Stillness or the quietness and mentally just going within yourself and focusing sometimes unlike your breath or your heartbeat will help calm down your system and help you deal with the situation at hand so this is a picture of frodeloni Edward he's a long time member of the order and also the author of the spiritual laws of the universe so if I reference or mention Dr Lonnie Edwards for uh guest visitors and those who may not know who he is this is who I'm talking about so the body um how does the body influence how we deal with difficult situations now taking care of the body as a temple the body is a vessel through which our soul is embarking this human Journey and if you think of the body like a

  18. 16:55

vessel let's say a metal vessel right um whatever content you put into this vessel that is what the vessel already so if you pour ice chilled water into a metal vessel it eradiate coolness if you pour hot water into that metal or glass vessel it will radiate heat the same is true for our physical bodies the kind of body you develop depends on the quality of material you put in there what materials does the body need food drink um sunlight air exercise all these things help create a healthy body so the quality of food you put in the body the the quality of your purity of your water and what kind of drinks you put into your body makes a huge difference in how the body can respond in a difficult situation um I think any on any given day any one of us have experienced that on a day

  19. 17:54

when you felt very ill or your health was not optimal and you had a very trying situation or a difficult situation at that time you realize that your capacity to deal with the situation is not the same as when you're in full health so um there's a book called the spiritual properties of food that was written by Dr H Spencer Lewis was first published I think in 1953 and again 1965 um it's it's a gem of a book that talks about the spiritual properties of food the importance of the quality of the food you put in because just like um a building structure right um the type of materials you use to build any given building will determine the integrity and the quality of that building and and in turn how that building or that physical structure that's built can withstand

  20. 18:53

trauma and challenges from the outside like storms or hurricane so if you use good quality cement concrete breaks you know proper wood and you build a strong building that building has a better integrity and a better capacity to withstand um whether you know tumultuous weather conditions strong winds and things like that the same is true for our physical bodies so the quality of food your drink avoiding intoxicants that pollutes the body um and just treating the body more like a temple and building it in such a way that it is its Integrity is strong and can become um a good seat for your spiritual growth and to deal with some of the challenges we encounter in the physical world so if we pay close attention to our bodies it'll let us know what is best for it and what isn't

  21. 19:51

so you will notice that on someday you eat like on a day you didn't get a chance to eat and you just ate fruits or something or you went to some real secretion weekend or Retreat something and you ate all all healthy meals lots of fruits and drank water you will notice that your body function differently and you respond to situations a little bit differently than on the day that if you you ate a lot of junk food or greasy food or what you call it now I'm not trying to say certain foods are good or bad I'm just saying as mystical students if we pay attention to the body you'll notice that when you eat certain foods your body is more alive or not so alive or you become very tired and lethargic after you eat the food that means the food is not doing what it's supposed to do for you so if we pay close attention we'll be able to figure out which foods energize us which foods support our body to do

  22. 20:49

the work we need to do in the world and also to equip our bodies to deal with difficult situations that come up whether being illness or situations mental challenging situations or any situation like you know fiscally exhausting situations that life made through our ass so that's the aspect of the body emotions emotions um are very important because they function on a much subtler level than the body and the mind but can have significant impact on how we respond to situations emotions are the body's reaction to the mind okay so um you will notice that for example you're driving and traffic can be one of those challenging situations on a given day you're probably running late to get somewhere and somebody recklessly cut in front of you and almost hit your vehicle there's a spontaneous um reaction that can tend to take place

  23. 21:48

if you are not in a certain certain State of Consciousness or presence within yourself and um it can bring like a lot of like jumpiness into you or feel anxiety like or anger even like how why did this person cut in front of me and um if one doesn't cut yourself you find yourself you might even say certain things that you don't wish to say or things like that the spontaneous reaction emotional emotions can just take on when we are triggered in a certain way so becoming aware of your emotions before they take you over and then you act in a way that you do not wish and regret it later so it helps to become conscious of their emotions Dr Lonnie Edward also used to use a lot of traffic examples uh when he talked a lot about proactivity and versus reactivity being proactive in a situation versus being reactive um proactive meaning for every situation

  24. 22:47

you don't just let the egoic or automatic response happen but take important and taking time to decide which way do you want to respond to this and sometimes in traffic situations we it's more challenging to take that time to respond in a conscious way so um there's an expression that the way you feel is the way you think is the way you feel and the way you feel is the way you think the reason is emotion itself is the body's reaction to the mind or your thought process so that's why it's very crucial to be the guardian of your thoughts and when certain situations happen not allowing the mind to distort what we do not know because the moment you allow the wrong thoughts to pervade into this mindscape then it can elicit certain emotional responses that may not be constructive or positive for us to

  25. 23:46

deal with this situation so um emotional activity has a direct correlation to the biochemical environment we generate in our bodies also like depending on how stimulated you get given the situation or the challenge uh somebody just be Roger you or called you names for no reason or I mean situations come up in life that we don't expect uh but but the goal is that with all the tools and principles that we have through the teachings of the order we can we exploring these things so that we can um remind ourselves to kind of utilize them and then in those situations we can handle it better so that we are less uh impacted negatively by any situation that comes into our experience so more on the emotion and the mind visualization and breathing exercises can help tremendously with helping to

  26. 24:45

calm down the emotional um this emotional state and the mental state there are numerals um breathing exercises and visualization exercises that the order offers in the monograph um that can be extremely helpful for example I mean I one exercise that I personally do is before I begin my day every day I visualize how I want my day to go given all the responsibilities and tasks I have ahead of me that day I visualize how I want that day to unfold and then I release it into the cosmic and allow the cosmic Grace to guide me at the end of the day I reflect back and see the day go as I had visualized this and then the things that did not work the way that I want or the situations that I didn't manage myself the way I want I then

  27. 25:43

consciously in my mind replay how I should have handled that situation better and then I internally tell myself that we are not going to make this mistake again in the future when such a situation it took me over unconsciously and I may have said an unkind word an unpleasant statement and I will go back and even apologize or I've gotten tremendously better but in my youth along my growth journey I did a lot of work like this and the order gives up practical applications of how to utilize these tools to do the self-audit to visual and visualization tool of visualization to to plan or almost project how you want your day or your life and things unfold in your life and then that often or frequently reflecting back to see that am I responding to situations the way I want can be extremely helpful so in that sense visualization is helpful

  28. 26:42

breathing exercises particularly supportive when you're in the midst of the crisis itself and you have no idea um how how to calm yourself down sometimes the circumstances such that your body just starts responding your flight or flight fright or flight response is stimulated hormones are released and you feel a certain amount of fear and anxiety within yourself directing your awareness your breath and utilizing any of the bread techniques that are offered in the teachings can be very helpful to calm yourself down lower your blood pressure and then once you're in a state or place of calmness you have a better Clarity and decide what to do um meditation and visualization exercise take your awareness from the outward to the inward Dimension where all resources you need to handle yourself in any situation is um Dr Lonnie Edward also often advised

  29. 27:40

that um when you have a rough situation that you need to make a decision on while you're not in a state of Peace profound or you're still feeling angry about the situation you're feeling still feeling distressed about the situation it is best not to make um a decision in that moment but he'll he'll say sleepover because when you go to bed it allows a subconscious mind to process everything that has happened and oftentimes you find yourself you wake up the next day having a new perspective on the situation and a Clear Vision on how to handle it so that is also becoming more on emotions becoming aware of how your emotions respond when things go don't go the way you want them to so generally when things are going well we all are able to deal with challenging situation it's just in the times of Crisis especially like um just personal experiences I've had

  30. 28:39

um this last two and a half years with the coronavirus pandemic and along that side data showed there was a significant mental health pandemic alongside because it was extremely stressful for many people um even in the workplace I noticed so many people you know everybody can be in the best state of being when things are going well but when you're truly challenged it's when they say your true character emerges so that's why it's significant to um put the Practical applications of the teachings into practice to equip us so that in the moment of Crisis we can respond in a way that is constructive for us the situation and the people involved so becoming aware of how our emotions are when we are not if you pay attention for example somebody does I don't have a good situation but kids can be challenging sometimes

  31. 29:38

co-workers can be challenging or just even in the grocery store people are unpleasant to you just see how your emotions are responding in that situation is it the way you want it to be if it is not that is an awareness that can be helpful for your growth or chemical process to see okay I I didn't like the way that situation made me feel how can I equip myself that I could be more calm or not negatively impacted by such situations in the future and to that point I'd avoid to avoiding addressing situations from a state of agitation anxiety or frustration um it's it's one thing to keep in mind because in the moment of anxiety anger or any emotional mental state if you take action often your action will not be what you want it to be often though later on reflected regrets certain

  32. 30:38

things you said or certain things you did so I I quote Dr Lonnie Edwards a lot because I I he inspired me and he he helped me a lot along my growth journey in the order and his presentations really impacted my life in significant ways and so you often say um I apologize um if you react in a state of negativity your reaction will become your enemy because in a state of negativity what can you produce from a negative state of emotion it's going to be angry or unpleasant or not the same quality as you if you respond from a place of Peace profound or a place of Peace So it's always helpful to get yourself in a state of peacefulness and peace profound within yourself before dealing with any challenging circumstances you may be

  33. 31:36

dealing with energy how does our energy or challenging situations affect our energies it is very useful practice to learn how to read your own energies in every experience everyone has had the experience where you've done something against Natural or Cosmic law and your life energy is respond in a very unique way in your body you'll notice that for example if something some crisis happened or some incident happens some situation happen and you react very negatively or unconsciously and not from a place of Peace profound and especially if your reaction impacted others very negatively or cause pain or harm or distress to others you notice that the vibratory energy within your body feels very different oftentimes you feel like an unsettling anxiety especially if you get really angry or really frustrated or

  34. 32:36

like especially in very high frictional situations or negative situations you can feel a certain vibrary energy change within your body you can some people feel it in their chest region some people feel in their solar plexus some people feel in their back it's different for different people but you will notice that if you act strongly negatively after that negative action your energy feels very different in your body and you know it's not a pleasant feeling that is your body's way of telling you your action was not in line with um it was not in line with Cosmic law so becoming aware of how your energies uh respond or you're becoming aware of how your vibratory energies are within yourself in every situation can be good information for you to now then figure out how can I work this so that in high challenging situations like this I don't get my energies all distorted in a

  35. 33:36

negative way like that um on the contrary if you do significant profound work or good deed or sacrifice not sacrifice yourself but um go out of your way to help somebody immensely in a very difficult situation they may be in in spite of yourself you know like you could have spent that time doing something but you took that time out to support another person and you made a strongly positive impact on their life or even in a situation when somebody's hurt or motor vehicle accident just the support you provide the hurt person or the injured person and they feel so grateful afterwards that also generate a certain vibratory energy impact in the energy system within our bodies and so if we pay attention to these things they can be informative for us to do the alchemical work um that the body's vibratory energies itself can help us to constantly kind of

  36. 34:34

tweak and perfect that so that no matter what the situational challenge is the vibratory energy will be in a state of Stillness in a state of peacefulness in a state of Peace profound so that we don't leave any situations shredded uh in our energy so distress in our mental state or physically just not feeling good because the situation was so negative and and in life we cannot always decide um what happens you know because we interact with so many different people in our lives people we know those we don't know family non-family members as we live in the fiscal World from time to time you come and counter situations that can be very challenging they may not be on a global scale like the coronavirus pandemic in the different ways that impacted us but in our everyday today encounters with even our children the way we talk to family the way we talk to people on the street every word every thought every action has a certain impact in the world it has

  37. 35:33

an impact on the people we interact with so using all these tools to constantly Kind of Perfect that process within ourselves for me has been very profound and the tools have been very helpful for me developing a daily spiritual practice can be very fundamental in equipping ourselves to have a solid foundation to deal with whatever may come at us in life so making a commitment to your self-realization by developing a daily practice that works for you I think in the monographs in a Rosy question beginning monographs the give such beautiful guidelines of creating a little space in your home or your apartment where you can daily attune and do your Mexico work and attune with the god of your heart and it has played a significant role in my

  38. 36:33

life to such a point that on the days that I don't do my mystical practice and I just go out in the world my day doesn't go the same way as the days that I maintain that discipline and going in before I head to head into the world to do whatever is needed and then at the end of the day going back to reflect whichever format that works for you and the monographs gives guidance on some of these things can really help create a certain Foundation of a certain constant building of stableness and peacefulness that when challenges come you are already prepared instead of um just kind of doing the practices or mystical work only when it's convenient or some of the time and not a consistent way of maintaining that mystical lifestyle can you notice that when things come to you or challenge situations come

  39. 37:31

you may not be able to deal with them the way you could have if you maintain a certain spiritual practice which is recommended in a monographs but everybody according to your own needs and your lifestyle and what you need you can create that commitment and also put in the Practical applications of the teachings into practice has been a tremendous support for me and so not just reading it intellectually but doing the practices really develop a lot of these subtle strengths within us that can help us to cope with difficult times the overall exercise is one of the excellent exercises it's a practice that brings the awareness of the Consciousness to different parts of the body that's what a variation of that is what we did at the beginning of the presentation and so it is very easy and quick way you can do it very simply like we did briefly if you have time you can become more elaborate and bring awareness to

  40. 38:30

various and spend time with big parts of your body because it is said that energy follows thoughts and awareness so wherever you direct the light of your awareness into your body that area is receiving a certain light of your Consciousness and so regularly doing that brings a certain um reorganization and stability into the body that is extremely beneficial for dealing with difficult times because when things are going well it's helpful to charge up your battery is what I call it and then so that in times when you're challenged your battery is fully charged and then you can from a place of Grace and peace profound you can respond accordingly vowel sounds are other tools that have tremendous effects on the human mechanism the monograph goes into depth so there are sounds that you can alter to help calm you down when you're feeling anxious there's some to help with healing so reviewing some of these things can be helpful

  41. 39:30

we all know all of these a lot of us do and just to remember remember that we have these tools available to utilize during crisis situations also visualization meditation reflection reflection are all tools that can be very helpful for creating conscious responses in difficult situations um developing a very personal relationship with the god of our hearts this is the essence of the many Road secretion exercises and experiments in the monograph it is very beneficial to put them into practice even if they seem very simple constant practice over time develops important subtle dimensions of our nature which can be supportive during difficult times uh in my youthful days um I I had so many questions and like I said I I live in Wisconsin so Chicago was not far away and Dr Lonnie

  42. 40:29

Edwards used to so many often did presentations and I went to that many years ago and I had so many questions for him I'm sure people who at that time were like what is wrong with this kid whatever this twitch I just had so many questions at that time this was some 15th years ago and I will ask tons of questions and there was a time he often said go within Nana and I'll say I go within and I don't get anything he said you keep going in you know and I'm very grateful for this because um he did a presentation Dr Lonnie Edward did a presentation on the significance of building a very intimate relationship with the god of your heart so that when you're in a situation of Crisis and the order talks about this as well in so many different ways that you're not reaching outward for solution because the solution is all within yourself so going inward for guidance is the very

  43. 41:27

first step one must take before seeking advice because the god of our hearts knows all about us it knows Us in more entirety than anything or anyone outside of ourselves so going first within yourself and asking God of my heart and Dr Lonnie Edward said it's so you have to have be so personal it's not that it doesn't matter what it is like you challenge with cooking a certain food or you're trying doing a certain work at work he said you go within and you say dear God of in my heart I am having a hard time dealing with this give me guidance on how to become better at it that intimate he said you can be with the god of your heart so at first I thought oh you have to sit in some mystical posture go into some Realms of State then you contact the god of your heart this was earlier years in my earlier days in my spiritual journey or mystical Journey but his his presentations and some of his Workshop taught me that it doesn't have to be

  44. 42:26

some epic meditative state to contact you God of your heart and all your everyday encounter for anything that is challenging for you you can ask for help and guidance and he said the more that you do this the more your connection with the god of your heart becomes and the more intimate that relation gets you will notice that it gets to a point initially when I started I'll go within and I felt like a blank like nothing comes in our whine and complain like this is not working and he kept sending me back and back and and and then it got to a point where I go within and then for ideas safe for a project at work or for school it didn't matter what and I will go to bed and wake up the next morning and information specifically about what I asked the god of my heart for would just come down to me first thing when I wake up like a download and I literally have to write so fast or type everything and it has

  45. 43:25

become such a big part of my own personal life I don't do anything actually significant without going in for guidance and Grace to do it and it has not let me down ever so it is a very very good practice to know and develop that relationship with the god of your heart anything as simple as teach me how to give me ideas on this project help me give me guidance on how to cope with this circumstances show me how to handle this situation that conversation that intimacy has to be there with the god of your heart and the more you do it the better you get at it and then I you notice that sometimes the moment of challenge or crisis spontaneously the god of your heart provides you resources in the immediate situation Clarity just comes and you know to be calm you focus on your breath immediately and all these things we're talking about comes to play

  46. 44:24

um so everybody has access we all have the god of our hearts within us and so developing this relationship can be extremely helpful to cope with just about any situation in our lives uh whenever you're challenged in any way make a conscious effort to First go within yourself for guidance and Clarity then from there take whatever necessary actions you are inspired to do foreign and I wanted to share one more Point um Dr Lonnie Edward used to say that in the moment you're experiencing a crisis in the midst of the crisis itself if you can be conscious enough to go within to seek for help you will receive help in that moment and I want to share a story of an incident that happened to me personally utilizing this technique

  47. 45:22

um it was very interesting because that weekend I drove to Chicago and sat through it went one of his workshops and he talked about the relationship with the god of the heart proactivity versus reactivity and all these things and then he shared about in the moment of challenge remember within the moment to ask for help and I'm a nurse uh registered nurse by occupation and I was a very young nurse out of school those years and I used to work on the cardiothoracic flow which is a very intense flow most people are we receive uh just had open heart surgery or cardiac crisis so it's a very intense unit that I worked on and I was really newly out of school without much experience of dealing with challenges so crisis and things of that nature so one Monday I went to work and I got I worked the day shift so the night nurse gave me a report and the first thing she told me is this one patient you're going to get is a very challenging patient he's very upset he's

  48. 46:21

very angry he's giving everybody a really hard time all night so all the best uh this is what's going on with him and just FYI he's being very nasty and unpleasant and I thought to myself oh dear God how to cope with this day you know so then I I saw all the other people and saved him for fast and I went into the room and I said good morning my name is such and such I'm going to be the nest for the day and this man just went off and he was angry he said he'd been in pain all night long nobody came in when he rang the bell for help and we he's going to sue the hospital and immediately I was just shivering because I was so new at my role I I know how to do my job I just didn't know how to deal with the situation the angry situation the very big tall man she was like six foot plus tall and very upset and angry and I had not seen this man

  49. 47:20

met him before this is my first encounter with him he went off just like same very nasty unpleasant things and while my I felt that anxiety and panic within my heart like what am I going to do I was so inexperienced then and I remember Fred alonei's words like in the moment if you can ask for help or go within you will receive help and he also taught us an exercise and he said in that situation you asked the god of your heart to send through you Cosmic light life and love to the situation or the person not your own light but Cosmic light and in that instant I just remembered his words in my head and while this man was just going on just very I mean I only introduced myself and it just like negativity just started coming so in my mind I just said dear God of my heart please send through me to this gentleman vibration of your light light and love I just repeatedly kept repeating this repeating this and I was just very quiet

  50. 48:20

while doing this in my head and instantaneously this gentleman just talked and he's like I'm so sorry I'm so sorry it's not your fault and he went on to apologize and he just calmed down and he said I've just had a really rough night I'm in a lot of pain you just came it's not your fault I'm just really upset and I said it's okay I was so shocked about how immediately the simple technique just worked in that moment and the whole rest of that 12 hour shift this gentleman was so nice I had a wonderful day with him he introduced me to his family and then when the Night Nurse came back and I shared my experience like what did you do you know so uh this I shared this story to to share the impact that the teachers and the techniques can work if you put them into action it has worked for me and that's why I chose to share these things with us today

  51. 49:20

so that's just one incident where um going within made a huge impact in the circumstance real time for me um why is all this important uh so that we may be able to move through life with ease and minimize stress and friction in this modern day life with all the challenges and crisis of pandemic and economy and you name it not to mention our own individual challenges we may have with work with kids whatever the circumstances may be to be able to employ these tools and techniques so that we can move through life with greater ease and to minimize stress and friction to improve up improve our quality of experience and to develop a more deeply and intimate personal relationship with uh in a master or the gods of the god of our hearts um to become increasingly harmless and selfless in all our and diverse and to become more in tune with our inner

  52. 50:19

master and the order provides many tools and practices to assist us in attaining all of these or improving all these um aspects that we have reviewed today foreign thank you very much for joining us today thank you so much for joining us today uh this is the end of the presentation um I wish everybody peace profound thank you

She says he often told people to be the guardian of their thoughts and to nullify a negative thought with a positive one. He also advised not making decisions while still angry or distressed, suggesting to sleep on it.

What personal story does the speaker share about the God of the Heart?

As a young nurse on a cardiothoracic floor, she faced an angry patient and silently asked the God of her Heart to send cosmic light and love through her. The patient immediately calmed down and apologized, and the rest of the shift went well.

How does the speaker describe the relationship with the God of the Heart?

She says it should be very personal and intimate, and that you can ask for guidance on anything, even everyday challenges. She describes going within before significant actions and receiving clarity, sometimes as ideas on waking.
